People should come to a restaurant to enjoy the food but also to relax, and the approach to dining at Toto’s is in line with what makes Palmizana the unique destination it is today.
The philosophy of the Toto’s dining experience is perhaps best reflected in the fact that, although it is the biggest restaurant in the bay, it is also the one with the least number of places – just 96. While there is no compromise on the quality of the food, the aim is to provide a relaxing and natural environment in a living arboretum, with many tables in secluded privacy surrounded by a sea of green. The gate leading to the beach making Toto’s an ideal base for a combination of food and swimming.
The menu is classically Dalmatian, with an understandable emphasis on seafood, which is caught daily and delivered to the chef. Feel free to enquire about the catch of the day, and our staff will be happy to guide you through the choice of Adriatic fish on offer.
There are a few non-traditional dishes, such as ceviche, while the Toto’s specialities of Monkfish in White Wine Sauce, Bulgur with Shrimps, and Tuna Toto’s are regular favourites.
The restaurant is open for breakfast until midday daily.
Our wine list is predominantly Croatian, and it gives guests a chance to sample the very best of the country’s wines, which are now starting to attract international attention. The premium Dalmatian red variety is Plavac Mali, and Hvar – with its 2,400 years of wine tradition – is one of the top regions for this grape, which is actually related to Zinfandel. Top Croatian white varieties include Posip, Malvazija and Grasevina.
There is also a small selection of international wines, as well as a more comprehensive list of sparkling wines.
